BANGKOK， Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Thai police have seized a total of 7.4 million speed pills and 20 kilograms of crystalline methamphetamine (ice) in the northern province of Lambang in the last two days.


On Friday night， police found 3.4 million speed pills and 20 kilograms of ice in a pickup truck which sped past a local checkpoint， prompting police to chase it and shoot its tyres.


One of the three men in the truck was arrested while the other two fled into a forest on foot.


Chairot Iang-payung， chef of a local police station in Lambang's Thoen district， said the drugs found in the case were the province's largest haul in 20 years， Bangkok Post reported.


A police investigation found that these drugs had been smuggled from Chiang Rai province and were destined to capital Bangkok.


On Saturday， police found another 4 million speed pills some 3 km away from the first spot.


These drugs， in more than 20 fertilizer sacks， were left along the road when police found them.


Officials believed the drugs seized on Saturday were of the same lot as those seized on the previous day and they speculated those suspects might have dumped them before fleeing.

In the autumn, the first group of 86 students will begin two tothree years of study at the crayfish school, affiliated withJianghan Art Vocational College in Qianjiang City.


They are given a choice of three majors: crayfish cooking andnutrition, catering management Air Presto White , and marketing. The graduates areexpected to work in major crayfish restaurants or start their ownbusinesses.


The school was established in March. Its predecessor was aprivate training center established in August 2015. It has alreadyprovided short-term training for more than 1,580 people in raisingand cooking crayfish, though they did not receive officialdiplomas.


Yang Junfeng, 30, was one of them. In a classroom, he raised theburner heat to high and stir-fried crayfish with soy sauce Air Presto , mincedgarlic, star anise and myrcia in a wok.


The experienced cook has mastered the preparation of more than10 dishes including braised, steamed and garlic crayfish after aweek-long training program.


Yang runs a small fish restaurant in his hometown, Jingmen Cityon the Jianghan Plain, a major producer of rice, cotton Cheap Nike Presto , fish andshrimp.


With fertile land and a large network of rivers and lakes, theplain is an ideal habitat for crayfish.


Native to North America, the species was brought to east China'sJiangsu Province by a Japanese merchant in the 1920s or 1930s. Theyappeared in the plain about 30 years ago, and villagers found theshellfish tasty and turned them into big business.


"Every household in my hometown can make fish dishes. So you'dbetter have something new for customers," said Yang, the owner andcook at an eatery.
